WARNING FOR LAND AREAS
	A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAIN IN FORCE FOR ALL OF TONGA LAND AREAS.
SITUATION
	A high-pressure system located far to the southeast, bringing fresh to strong east to southeast winds over most part of Tonga in the next 24 hours. Wind speeds are expected to gradually ease over the southern parts by Wednesday evening and over the central parts by Thursday morning, while fresh to strong winds persist over the northern parts throughout the weekend.

	FOR ALL OF TONGA: Moderate to fresh east to southeasterly winds, strong at times. Become northeasterly for Tongatapu and 'Eua in afternoon. Mainly fine apart from cloudy periods with isolated showers.

	FOR TONGATAPU, 'EUA, HA'APAI, VAVA'U AND THE NIUAS COASTAL WATERS: East to southeast winds 15-20 knots, rising up to 25-30 knots at times. Turning northeast for Tongatapu and 'Eua around tomorrow morning and for Ha'apai in the afternoon. Moderate to rough seas (up to 3.5 metres). A moderate southerly swell (up to 2.5 metres). FOR TELE-KI-TONGA AND TELE-KI-TOKELAU COASTAL WATERS: Northeast winds 20-25 knots, rising up to 30-35 knots at times. Rough seas (up to 3.5 metres). A moderate southerly swell (up to 2.5 metres).

Moderate to rough seas (up to 2.5-3.5 metres) and becoming moderate seas in the evening. A moderate easterly swell (up to 2.5 metres). FOR THE REST OF TONGA COASTAL WATERS: East to southeast winds of 15-20 knots, rising up to 25-30 knots at times. Moderate to rough seas (up to 3.5 metres). A moderate southeasterly swell (up to 2.5 metres).
